Bastard Books and other crap has invaded Tumblr

Let me be honest, I didn't get what all the fuzz about Tumblr is, and to some extent I still don't. Got curious about it last Friday, so started poking around it to see if I could better understand it. The next day I went out with the sales force from my work place, and had a little bit too much to drink. So naturally, I went to Tumblr and setup the full thing. It was a pain in the ass. Short story made shorter, Bastard Books and other crap has joined Tumblr, and you can access it via the following URL:

Now that I have it, I intend to put it to good use. Don't know yet the full intentions I will have for it, but I think it'll be useful for some quick informal posts. There have been quite a few things I've wanted to include in this blog, but seemed a bit time consuming for me so I neglected to do them: sharing new covers, talking a bit more about TV shows I'm following, posts about books published in a particular month Mihir and me would be looking forward to, and things of that nature. So I'll be using Tumblr for that, much simpler to setup for these kinds of things. Here's a sample of what I intend to use it for: Ten books Bastard and Mihir are looking forward to in the month of March 2012.

In all, I hope you guys stop by and can give me some feedback if at all possible, and if you got any tips for me it's always welcomed. Also, I'm looking to improve my Tumblr network and have no clue about people I should be following there, so if any of you use Tumblr I'd appreciate listing a few of your favorite ones you follow and if you have your own Tumblr blog, let me know and I'll follow you. For a small fee, kidding... or am I?

Don't be afraid, have a look around and hopefully you'll end up following me. The content will be more frequent there, as it'll be informal and less dense, and the content will also not be repetitive of what is going on in this particular blog (though I'll also repost some of the posts made here on Tumblr).

While I'm at it, please read this posts about the Hugos and how it concerns bloggers. Not something I particularly care a lot about, but many do and will including some friends of mine. So, I guess that means I should care too, and will care, and that means that you should too. The logic is simple, follow the link to read a most informative post by Stefan Raets, someone whose reviews I follow closely:

  1. Well, I think I'm going to pass on the Tumblr thing for now. I have so many different places to be already, and don't make it to all of them now. But best of luck with the new place. :)
